Hello Friend of Newell Farm,
We did it! Dozens of you showed up at Town Hall last Tuesday and more than 10 of you spoke to convince the Berthoud Board of Trustees to start planning Newell Farm “Music & Arts” Park. In fact, the room was so crowded that Town Staff had to find more chairs AND Mayor Karspeck moved us up on the agenda.
The decision was unanimous: a Newell Farm Park Concept Plan will be created over the next few months. The Trustees rightly emphasized the importance of community input, so we’ll let you know when you can give your two cents. In the meantime, let’s all do the happy dance!
We can’t thank you enough for demonstrating to the Town that you want to see a Music & Arts Park – and especially a larger amphitheater – built at Newell Farm sooner rather than later.
It worked! They listened. And now the fun begins.
